Enhancing

Sustainability

Enhancing Resilience and Sustainability Goals
1. Support small-scale and local agriculture by enhancing resources for small-scale agriculture development and supporting sustainable local food and fiber supplies.
2. Help agriculture stand against headwinds by delivering research and extension programs designed to optimize agricultural production systems and farm and consumer resiliency, including responses to market changes, weather volatility, disasters, economic viability and natural resource management.
3. Expand public knowledge of food sources and increase consumer knowledge of Arkansas-grown crops.
Growing. Resilient.
Resources, whether energy, financial, water, air or soil, are finite. We will boost sustainability and economic resilience by finding ways to minimize resource use, manage risk, and maximize productivity.
