Have you added your event to the UADA Events Calendar?

All employees are encouraged to add their public events so our clientele and partners can find programming in their area. Check out the calendar!

Types of events to add to the public UADA Events Calendar:

• Public events
• Conferences
• Master Gardener Plant Sales
• Demonstrations
• Field Days

Please do NOT post the following events to the public UADA Events Calendar:

• 4-H club meetings
• EHC and other club meetings
• Closed (non-public) events
• Internal training sessions meant for employees only

General Events Checklist

☐ Have you set a date and time? Check the UADA Events Calendar, UADA Internal Calendar and other local calendars to reduce double-booking your event on top of an existing one. Avoid common school and federal holiday conflicts.

☐ Do you have a location? If it is virtual, do you have a Zoom registration link created? Contact our Zoom team for help.

☐ Does your event have limited capacity? Let people know it's limited.

☐ Do you need a registration form? You can use Microsoft Forms for free events and for paid events visit our Online Forms page.

☐ Have you worked out accounting for event fees with financial services? Contact Financial Services for help.

Events for Arkansas Extension Facebook Page

What kind of events should be promoted on the @arkansas.extension Facebook Page? While Extension puts on a large number of events, it is important to note that not all Extension events are appropriate for this page.

Make sure the event you are wanting to promote follows these general guidelines:

• The event is for the general public in Arkansas, rather than for Extension employees.
• Virtual events will perform better than in-person events on Facebook, although in-person events can be promoted on the page.
• If there is a limit to how many people can attend and that number is small (i.e. fewer than 50 people), we do not recommend promoting it on this page. Email socialmedia@uada.edu for more info. 
• If the event is for a small area, such as a county, tri-county, or other small region event, we do not recommend promoting it on this page.
• If the event has an extremely small and niche audience, email socialmedia@uada.edu for more info.
